Scott (Scotty) Malta has over 20 years of airport planning, operations, management, and leadership experience. Most recently, Scotty was the Airport Manager for Moore County Airport in Carthage, North Carolina where he managed and oversaw the airport and fixed base operation (which was owned and operated by the Moore County Airport Authority). Prior to Moore County, Scotty was the Airport Manager at Castle Airport in Merced, California for 18 years and he was the Operations Manager at Roanoke Regional Airport (a Part 139 airport) in Roanoke, Virginia for 2 years.
Scotty also has two Master of Science degrees in Aviation Management and Aviation Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, is an American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Accredited Airport Executive, is a Southwest Chapter of the AAAE (SWAAAE) Certified Airport Executive, has an FAA private pilot certificate, and served 20 years in the United State Air Force as a Chief Air Traffic Control Officer and Airfield Operations Flight Commander. Further, he was on the Board of Directors of AAAE, President of SWAAAE, a Policy Board member of the Contract Tower Association, and President of the Association of California Airports.
